Awaken the Oak Within!

Do you know that in every acorn is the potential for a huge oak tree?  Just take a second to think about that.  Every acorn that falls to the ground has the “stuff”, the ingredients, the material, the DNA of an oak tree.  That is an awesome concept.  That small earthly object may one day tower over houses, reaching up to the God’s throne.  In its present state you cannot see it,  but reality is not always what you see.

Do you know that you are like the acorn.  Jeremiah 1:5 says “before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee…”.  So just as that small acorn has the potential for great growth, you too were created  for greatness in your earliest stages of life.  From a speck on an ultrasound to a great author, doctor, mother, prophet, or teacher.  God formed you with the “stuff”, the ingredients, the material, the DNA of greatness.

So many times we look at our current circumstances and allow them to dictate our future success.  God’s plan is for us to use adverse situations as fertilizer for our growth.  He knows what we need to unlock the oak within.  We need not run, or worry.  Just stand firm knowing that all you are created to be seeks expression and, in the fullness of time, it will manifest.  Just as a caterpillar is locked in a cocoon and then suddenly emerges to fly as a beautiful butterfly.  You will become that which is within.

Today, others may see you as an acorn.  Today, choose to see yourself as the giant oak.
